I was listening to this song the other day and it comforted me. It is such a simple message yet I know that I have to constantly condition myself on these things and a lot of other life challenges. I don’t have a clue how I did it as a child and read these stories about bullying and kids killing themselves and it just breaks my heart. As kids we depend on our parents, teachers and our peers to instil the foundation to help us deal with life and it’s challenges. But clearly we fail a lot, and the consequences are getting more sophisticated. Kids now not only flunk out of school or start early drug, alcohol habits…but they go to the most extreme scenario and just end it all without the hope that they can find some tolerable peace inside. It is really really sad to me…

In the most simplest way I can recognize, sometimes, catching the right lyric at the right time can really make a difference in your day, at least it does for me. I’ve always been inspired by music and the lyrics…taking comfort in knowing that if it’s been written in a song, someone else has gone through what I feel and has made it through. Not that it will change your course of life..but this song helps me through a workout.
