“Half of the troubles of this life can be traced to saying yes too quickly and not saying no soon enough.”-Josh Billings

It’s important to remember that each time you say yes to someone or something else, you say no to you and your priorities.  Let’s think about how many times we say yes because we feel guilty or we owe someone a favor…we are too accomodating, etc etc… the truth is, when we say yes to other things, we sometimes leave less time to do things that we would really enjoy doing.

I get it, sometimes we want to do things that no one else wants to do and so we end up doing things other people want to do so that we have company.  But, is it really a good way to live your life based on other peoples desires.  When will you have the courage to do things you want to do even if you have to do it alone.

“When I was a child my mother said to me, ‘If you become a soldier, you’ll be a general. If you become a monk, you’ll be the pope.’ Instead I became a painter and wound up as Picasso.”  ― Pablo Picasso
