This past week, I was able to finally do some work on my new table, yay! I also spent some time with some friends who unknowlingly, inspired me in one way or another. I’ve grown to love when that happens, whether it’s a little puppy that teaches me to be silly or a friend that gently shines a light on me and shows me a place within me that still needs to grow!
There is inspiration everywhere, we can all learn or improve ourselves if we simply allow ourselves to be vulnerable and not take every criticism so personal. If you trust that the person giving you the advice is genuine and has your best interest at heart, I think it’s certainly worth it to just listen to what they have to say and give it some thought.
It seems to me that even if the comment is coming from someone who doesn’t have your best interest at heart, there may still be some validity to their comment and therefore warrant some reflection.
I’ve learned and continue to learn that it’s important for me to remember that it’s ok to not know everything, because technically, a know it all has nothing left to learn, and logically, that statement is quite impossible. The best I can be is open so that I don’t chance missing anything along the way that will help me grow. xo
